From I-40 East (Chapel Hill/Durham):

Travel on I-40 E toward Raleigh. Merge right at Wade Ave (signs for Wade Ave/I-440/US-1 N). Take the ramp to the right to Capital Boulevard (NC-50/North Blvd/US-401/US-70). Follow Capital Boulevard for one mile. Turn left at West Jones Street. Travel three blocks (past Wilmington Street). Arrive at the Archives and Library Building on your left.

From US-1 South (Wake Forest):

Head South on US-1 (Capital Blvd/North Blvd). Turn left at West Jones Street. Travel three blocks, then cross Wilmington Street. Arrive at the Archives and Library Building on your left.

From US-264 West (Greenville):

Travel on US-264 West. Take exit 419 for I-440 West toward US-1/Wake Forest. Merge onto I-440 North. Take exit 13A to merge onto 64/New Bern Avenue. Take the slight right at New Bern Avenue (look for signs for New Bern Avenue). Take a slight right at East Edenton Street. Travel for one mile, then turn right at North Wilmington Street. Take the first right onto East Jones Street. Arrive at the Archives and Library Building on your left.

From I-95 South (Richmond VA):

Travel on I-95 South. Take the I-95 ramp to I-64. Take the sharp right at I-95 South (you will be entering North Carolina. Travel for 117 miles. Take exit 138 to merge onto US-64 West toward Nashville/Raleigh. Take exit 419 for I-440 West toward US-1/Wake Forest. Merge onto I-440 North. Take exit 13A to merge onto 64/New Bern Avenue. Take the slight right at New Bern Avenue (look for signs for New Bern Avenue). Take a slight right at East Edenton Street. Travel for one mile, then turn right at North Wilmington Street. Take the first right onto East Jones Street. Arrive at the Archives and Library Building on your left.

From I-95 North (Fayetteville):

Travel on I-95 North. Take exit 81 to merge onto I-40 West toward Raleigh. Take exit 298B for South Saunders Street North toward Raleigh. Turn right at South Saunders Street (NC-50/US-401/US-70). Follow South Saunders Street for two miles. Turn right at West Jones Street. Travel two blocks, then cross Wilmington Street. Arrive at the Archives and Library Building on your left.
