Parking

Visitor parking is now available in the lot immediately opposite the Archives and History/State Library Building.  Entrances are on Jones Street and Edenton Street.  The fee is $2.00 per hour or any portion of an hour; maximum fee is $16.00 per day.

Please note that this lot also serves as visitor parking for the Museums of History and Natural Sciences, so it may fill up fairly quickly each day.  Also please note that one half of this lot is reserved for employee parking.  Barriers separate the two areas--please do not park in the employee lot.

The map below illustrates a few parking, lodging, and restaurant options in the downtown Raleigh area. The Archives & History/State Library Building is marked with an image of a blue push pin.
