Hispanic Services Project

Survey of Library Needs for North Carolina Hispanics

Mexican Sun Image

In 1999-2000, the State Library of North Carolina contracted with market researcher Dr. Edward Rincon to gather data and conduct a demographic analysis of the Hispanic community in North Carolina. Dr. Rincon's work was necessary because detailed information on the Hispanic population in the state is not current and current information is not detailed. Dr. Rincon's survey provides current, in-depth information about the state's Hispanic communities and their library needs.
