SENIOR COMMUNITY SERVICE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM (SCSEP)
A program of the NC Division of Aging and Adult Services. The Senior Community Service Employment Program, funded through Title V of the Older Americans Act, places individuals 55 and older who are economically disadvantaged into useful part-time community service programs while helping them transition into unsubsidized employment. http://www.ncdhhs.gov/aging/scsep.htm

CARE LINE
A service that assists callers in finding programs available through NC DHHS and other government and non-profit agencies for which they may qualify. NCRX
Helps low-income
seniors cope with
the costs of
premiums for
Medicare prescription
drug plans.
If you qualify, NCRx will pay up to $29 per month toward the monthly premium

NUTRITION ASSISTANCE from the NC Department of Aging and Adult Services

SENIORS' HEALTH INSURANCE INFORMATION PROGRAM (SHIIP)

Housing & Mortgage Assistance
HOUSING ASSISTANCE AND HOME IMPROVEMENT from the NC Department of Aging and Adult Services
An optional county service that can assist adults and families who reside in or may return to independent housing to: 1) become better educated about available housing resources and to 2) have access to a higher standard of living by utilizing one or more federal, state and local home improvement funding sources. http://www.ncdhhs.gov/aging/services/himprove.htm
LOW INCOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LIEAP)

REVERSE MORTGAGES

SENIOR LAW PROJECT (SLP)
A special statewide project of Legal Aid of NC specifically serving clients that are 60 years of age or older. Special priority is given to the population consisting of those seniors with the greatest economic or social need. NC LIBRARY FOR THE BLIND AND PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED (NCLBPH)
