EZ-LSTA HISPANIC SERVICES MINI-GRANTS

EZ-LSTA POWERFUL PARTNERS COLLABORATION GRANTS

The State Library is pleased to announce LSTA grant awards for two additional grant categories for 2000-2001. Both categories were open only to libraries that had participated in earlier training opportunities.

Fourteen (14) EZ-LSTA Hispanic Services Mini-Grant applications were considered. Twelve (12) proposals were approved for funding totaling $69,689. The grants will help public librarians conduct appropriate needs assessment activities in their Hispanic and Latino communities.
Eighteen (18) applications were received for EZ-LSTA Powerful Partners Collaboration Grants; a total of $523,320 was requested. Thirteen (13) proposals totaling $344,824 received approval for funding. Through these collaborative projects, children and teens will receive services strengthened by collaboration of agencies in their community.

Funded libraries must not commit or expend any grant or matching funds until the State Librarian signs grant agreements. The following libraries received funding.
