By Mary Kubica

Talking Book Number: DB 79470

On a seemingly typical evening, Mia Dennett enters a bar, expecting to spend the evening with her boyfriend.  However, the boyfriend cancels on her, and she ends up leaving the bar with a total stranger, Colin Thatcher. The stranger then proceeds to kidnap her, taking her to a remote cabin, rather than turning her over to the man who hired him to kidnap Mia in the first place.  We know nearly from the outset that she is eventually rescued and back with her family, as half of this alternating story is told after the rescue has occurred, but the fun of this book is learning about the events leading up to Mia’s rescue and what happens to Mia, her family, and her kidnapper in the afterwards.
