Engage with the Government & Heritage Library through Virtual Events

Monday, May 25, 2020

Though recent stay-home orders and social distancing efforts have limited many of our opportunities to connect with others, the staff at the Government & Heritage Library (GHL) are very thankful for modern technology and the ability it has to bring people together despite physical separation. Many libraries and cultural institutions have recently had to close their doors to the public in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, causing the cancellation of several in-person events, workshops, and meetings. While our staff misses engaging with our patrons in-person, the GHL continues the National Library Week effort of “bringing the library to your place” by bringing several outreach events to you virtually!

Let's Talk 2020 Census webinar graphic

Just 55% of North Carolinians have responded to the 2020 United States Census. Why should North Carolina residents care about the 2020 Census, when there are so many other serious issues occurring in our lives and communities right now? The truth is the Census matters because of the serious issues we’re currently facing. Join the NC Government & Heritage Library to find out why, in a Q & A session with Governor's Census Liaison, Bob Coats. This webinar will be held online at https://bit.ly/Census2020SLNC
