So many resources, so little time! State Library of North Carolina Digital Projects Librarian Kelly Agan shares a wealth of online resources and documentary collections for women's history in North Carolina. She will also share open-source tools for bringing exhibits to your website, with a tutorial for how to easily make an interactive timeline using (yes!) a Google spreadsheet.

  • 3/23/2021: A Viewpoint of Her Own: The Black Mountain College Photographs of Helen M Post

Archivist Sarah Downing examines the work of photographer Helen M. Post, through a collection of images she created at Black Mountain College in 1937. Post photographed members of the faculty, students, campus scenes, and examples of life in the college community. Her photographs are among the most popular materials from the Western Regional Archives.

  • 3/30/2021: Reconstruction Aides 

Reconstruction Aides worked in Veterans’ Hospitals following WWI. Lead Archivist of the Western Regional Archives, Heather South, discusses the creation of the program and significance of the aides’ activities in Asheville, including their development of the field of physical therapy and arts and crafts to boost patients’ mental health and agility.
