Library Snapshot Day 2018

About

About

Library Snapshot Day is a day dedicated to documenting and celebrating the role libraries play in their communities. From helping job seekers hone their resumes to fostering early literacy, libraries support our communities in a myriad of ways each and every day. Libraries are truly at the heart of communities and have become places for engagement, collaboration, and learning. During the month of October we are asking libraries across North Carolina to document in statistics, stories or photographs what a day at their library looks like.

How to participate:

1. Pick a date in October to hold your activities.

2. Work with your staff to plan fun, interactive activities that will engage your community.

3. When the day arrives, document your activities through photos, videos, and anecdotes.

4. Also, track the number of visits, programs, program attendees and circulations on your Library Snapshot Day.

5. Submit photos, videos, statistics and anecdotes to the State Library. We will use these items to create marketing materials that will be shared with all participating libraries.

6. Use the content you've collected to show the impact of your services on your community!
