Library Specialist / North Carolina Collection - Pack Memorial Library, Buncombe County Public Libraries


Employee in this class performs public service work in the library. Work may include answering patrons’ questions, circulating materials, programming, collection development, and archival processing tasks. Assignments require the application of a good knowledge of standard library methods and procedures and a familiarity with and interest in books and other reading and educational materials. Employee will work primarily with patrons and materials in the North Carolina Collection room.

Qualifications: Experience in library work. Graduation from a two-year college or technical school with major course work in library science or a relevant field; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
