Instruction Librarian - John R. Dover Memorial Library, Gardner-Webb University


Gardner-Webb University seeks a creative, service-oriented, self-motivated librarian to provide both face-to-face and online
information literacy instruction (ENGL 102 Writing Composition, upper level seminar courses, and LIB 301, a one-credit hour online
information literacy course). Provides reference services and serves as a liaison to one or more professional schools or
departments. This is a 12-month, non-tenure, faculty position.


Adaptable and flexible coordination and prioritization of projects and duties. Ability to work collaboratively with Library,
campus, and community members. Ability to communicate confidently, both written and verbally, to various sizes of diverse
audiences and to listen and respond to patron needs in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
Ability to manage data, documents, and other information locally and via online networks
(Google Drive, OneDrive, and Blackboard).
