Adult Services Manager - Cleveland County Memorial Library


Selects books and other materials for collection development for the adult fiction and non-fiction collections at the main library; coordinates the acquisition of materials. Instructs customers in how to use the library and its print and electronic resources; assists the public in person, by telephone, or via virtual chat; gives out specific information and instructions. Supervises the adult services staff members; creates a weekly/monthly desk schedule for access services; creates monthly and quarterly programs and schedules staff to assist with programming. Creates flyers and other print and electronic marketing materials for the library; update the library’s website and social media pages. Represents the library in the community by creating community partnerships with organizations to foster workforce development. Will be a member of the library’s administrative team. All staff members are required to work at least one night per week, and at least one weekend day per month.

Qualifications: Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited school, or related field and moderate experience working in a public or academic library as a professional librarian, experience in adult services programming preferred and 1 year supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary: $35,982 - $57,564
