Collection Development Manager (Librarian II) - May Memorial Library, Alamance County Public Libraries


Alamance County Public Libraries (ACPL) is seeking a Collection Development Manager, Librarian II with experience maintaining a robust collection of print, digital, audio visual, and other materials. The Collection Development Manager will assist in selecting and ordering materials in sufficient quantities to provide a balanced collection and be a good steward of public funds by monitoring circulation trends and tailoring acquisitions to anticipated usage models. Performs system-wide collection development and the Manager of the Technical Services department. Responsibilities include coordinating, compiling, and reviewing orders for all branches, and the successful cohesion and flow of the Technical Services department as a whole.

Qualifications: Completion of a Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution. At least two years as a professional librarian with collection development responsibilities. Ability to acquire certification by the North Carolina Public Library Certification Commission. Flexibility in scheduling is required. Ability to speak Spanish is desired.

Salary: $43,510 – $53,000
