Description: The Branch Librarian is responsible for the smooth operation of a mid-sized library branch. He or she maintains the collection, coordinates programs, and trains and supervises staff members. The Branch Librarian represents the library to residents of the community and works cooperatively with the local Library Advisory Board and the Friends of the Library. He or she reports to the Regional Director.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA Accredited or approved equivalent graduate school. North Carolina Public Library Certification within one year of employment. A minimum of two years of full-time experience as a professional librarian, demonstrating increasing levels of supervisory responsibility.

Salary: $42,000 -  $46,000
