Leap into Science Educator Training - May 25, 2021

The North Carolina STEM Ecosystem, including the State Library of North Carolina, the North Carolina Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education Center, STEM East, STEM West, and STEM SENC, and supported by the NC Center for Afterschool Programs and the North Carolina Science Network is hosting FREE virtual Leap into Science educator training. 

The Leap Into Science program integrates open-ended science activities with children’s books for young children and their families.

Community educators such as librarians, museum and science center staff, and early childhood educators receive training and access to STEM activity materials and in turn, lead workshops for children and their families. You are strongly encouraged to attend training with a colleague.

About Leap into Science

Leap into Science is a nationwide program developed by The Franklin Institute Science Museum that integrates open-ended science activities with children’s books, designed for children ages 3-10 and their families. The program empowers educators to offer workshops in community settings like libraries, museums, and out-of-school time programs to engage underserved audiences in accessible and familiar settings.
