VIP Book Club

Tab/Accordion Items

The library presents the VIP Book Club. This book discussion group meets regularly on the 2nd Friday of each month. Check back at the beginning of each month to see what book the group will be discussing.

A little bit more about the group

Members take turns leading the discussions. The book club was started as a joint venture with the Raleigh Parks & Recreation Department's Visually Impaired Program. That's where the name VIP came from. We like to think of us now as the Very Important Patrons Book Club. The club was held at space provided by Parks and Recreation, but then moved its meetings to the library as it grew.

We meet on the second Friday of each month from 10 - 11:30 am in the breakroom at the library. With the pandemic, the group now meets by phone on the second Friday of each month from 10 - 11:30.

If interested, space is limited, email the library (ncabls@ncdcr.gov)

The group records (when possible) meeting discussions. During the pandemic, because the group has moved to phone no current recordings are available. Once the group can record things, they will be available. Check back later for updates.
