Animal Poems
Free verse about twenty-three wildlife creatures--from wasps, cockroaches, hummingbirds, and squirrels, to snakes, snails, whales, and gorillas. "Elephant" conveys the plight of the circus elephant while praising its natural strength. "Star-Nosed Moles" describes a mole's appearance and favorite foods, including "succulent insect-nuggets."
