Monday, April 8: Accessibility Day ​

  • Explore a curated book list, a collaboration between SLNC Accessible Books and Library Services and the SLNC Government and Heritage Library. From memoirs capturing resilience to accessible travel recommendations, these reads offer insight and inspiration for a more inclusive future.
  • Discover three innovative services offered by local public libraries that showcase their efforts to improve access to their spaces and services.

Tuesday, April 9: Library Workers Day​

  • In honor of Library Workers Day, Michelle Underhill, the State Librarian, will share a special message with library staff across North Carolina.
  • Meet some of the amazing SLNC staff who work behind the scenes to serve residents across the state. We're excited to highlight their hard work and dedication.

Wednesday, April 10: Outreach Day​

  • Get ready to travel back in time! See our social media channels to view photos from North Carolina Digital Collections featuring bookmobiles across the state. Please share with us your favorite bookmobile memories.
  • Join us in celebrating the dedicated SLNC Outreach teams as they share the State Library’s resources and services.

Thursday, April 11: Supporting Our Libraries Day​

  • So many people make the work libraries do possible, and we’ll be highlighting some of our state’s biggest library supporters, including our State Library Commission, ABLS volunteers, and so many more!
  • We'll also highlight the supporters of local libraries.

Friday, April 12: Celebrating Our Libraries Day​

  • We’ll close out the week by releasing the 2024 Public Library infographic, which showcases the impact of libraries across the state.
  • We'll also share stories from our own SLNC staff describing what they love most about using the library.
