Eastern North Carolina Braille Challenge 2025

SLNC-ABLS is excited to host the Braille Challenge this year in partnership with Governor Morehead School.

The Braille Challenge is a competition in which visually impaired students can be recognized for their skill in braille.  It also offers a unique opportunity for the top scorers to compete in the finals which are held in California. Braille literacy is connected with future success in employment and academia.

To make this event a success, we need your help! We're looking for volunteers familiar with braille to serve as Proctors.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to support braille literacy and make a difference in students' lives.

The Braille Challenge this year is being held at Governor Morehead School Monday, February 17th from 8 am to 3:30pm. (Our backup day is Monday, February 24th)

If you’re interested in joining us, we’d love to have you.

Thank you for helping us make this year’s Braille Challenge an unforgettable experience!
