Description
The primary duties for this position include: staffing the circulation desk, answering questions, interpreting library and law school policies, circulating materials using an automated circulation system, maintaining course reserves, and providing professional customer service to all library patrons. In addition, this position will also be responsible for stacks maintenance, including shelving, shifting, and shelf-reading library materials. Further, this position has responsibility filing loose-leaf updates, microfiche, newsletters and advance notices. Records data related to library usage and collection maintenance tasks and compiles and submits a monthly report. Assists in monitoring the library to ensure that patrons comply with library and law school policies and closes/opens the library at designated times. Provide assistance monitoring and directing student workers. The schedule for this position includes night and weekend hours on a regular basis. Hours are subject to departmental needs and may change.
Qualifications
Knowledge of library circulation systems; ability to work with the public in a professional manner and experience providing customer service; ability to communicate effectively in oral and written communication; ability to interpret library, Law School, and University policies and procedures; ability to multi-task; ability to prioritize work tasks with minimal supervision; ability to work with diverse populations; ability to learn and apply new technologies; ability to monitor and direct the activities of student workers; ability to shelve and file library materials accurately.
Salary
$33,540- $41,357 Annually
