Description: Davidson’s E.H. Little Library, recipient of the 2021 ACRL Excellence in Academic Libraries Award, seeks an Acquisitions & Collections Specialist to support the enhancement of our robust scholarly collections. As a member of the Collections Strategies team, the Acquisitions & Collections Specialist will oversee the procurement and processing of new materials in both physical and digital formats with opportunities to collaborate with Collections Strategies staff to rethink the connections between acquisitions, course reserves, and resource sharing services. As the primary point of contact for purchase requests, the Acquisitions & Collections Specialist will engage with faculty, staff, and students from across campus to expand access to resources and support projects that seek to refine our existing collections.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of related work experience. Familiarity with or willingness to learn about library procurement practices. Ability to analyze and clearly communicate complex problems. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in collaboration with faculty, staff, and students.
