Description: The State Library Office Manager will organize and manage administrative support for all State Library sections and supervise a 3-member support services team. Key responsibilities include: provides administrative services to all State Library of North Carolina (SLNC) sections in all aspects of financial recordkeeping, procurement, travel, records management, and program support activities; serves as State Library’s Human Resource Liaison; completes personnel transactions in accordance with State and DNCR policies to support current library staff and facilitate successful recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new library staff; provides purchasing activities for all State Library sections; and ensures all State Library work units receive support to facilitate successful delivery of programs, resources, and services per established timelines and standards.
Qualifications: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience, including one year as a lead worker; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated knowledge of office procedures with proficiency in the use of current office technology and applications, including web-based communication tools. Proven knowledge of accounting methods, procedures, and practices.
