Description: The Town of Farmville is seeking a qualified candidate to perform a variety of administrative and professional duties for the adult services division of the Farmville Public Library. Provides customer service to the library patrons by conducting research of reference materials, library information systems, and catalog; provides information pertaining to library resources and equipment; provides one-on-one instruction to patrons on computers and personal digital devices. Plans and presents a variety of programs for adult patrons of all ages. Performs ourtreach programming for senior centers and facilitates homebound delivery for patrons living in a variety of settings. Reports to the Library Director and performance is evaluated on the basis of attainment of individual and departmental performance objectives, feedback from the public served, periodic conferences and personal observations.
Qualifications: Master of Library Science and meet the qualifications for North Carolina Public Librarian Certification. Two (2) years of public library service required.
