Description: This position works to meet the programming needs of adults in our community, and will work as a liaison between the library and local businesses, service organizations, and residents. The position requires occasional evening and weekend hours. The Adult Services Librarian will be responsible for providing library services and programming for adult community members, inside and outside of the library as well as virtually. This position works collaboratively with staff and community members to develop programs that meet a wide variety of interests and needs. The successful candidate will be experienced and enthusiastic about program planning, marketing and publicity, graphic design, website maintenance, and social media, particularly in a public library. Work is performed under the general direction of the County Librarian.
Qualifications: A Master of Library Science is required; consideration may be given to candidates with requisite experience and a relevant Bachelor's degree. Significant experience in community engagement, relationship building, and/or government relations. Experience and commitment to serving diverse populations and traditionally underserved populations. Experience in program planning and presentations.
