DESCRIPTION
Wake County Public Libraries is seeking an Adult Services Manager (Library Supervisor) for its Northeast Regional Library, located in Raleigh, NC. You will work as part of a management team at the library, and more specifically, supervise a team of librarians and library assistants who work in the Adult Services Department providing excellent service and programming for the adults in the community. As a Department Manager, you may also collaborate with senior management and your peers to create and promote quality programming across the system. Department Managers are expected to work some amount of time on the public service desks, as needed.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervise and evaluate a team of Librarians and Library Assistants
Work as part of a management team at your regional library to ensure quality service and efficient operations
Serve as Manager on Duty as needed
Work with peers across the system on projects and initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
The Basics (Required Education and Experience)
Master's degree in Librarianship or related field: MLS, MLIS, MIS, ML from an ALA accredited program or NC program
One year of experience as a Librarian
Equivalent education and experience are NOT accepted

Three years of professional public library experience
