Description: The Archive Services Librarian is responsible for developing, managing, and administering the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Archives. The Archive Services Librarian also focuses on creating, maintaining, and enriching metadata representing the library’s physical and digital archive collections. This position spends approximately 50% of its time on archival duties and 50% on reference and instruction duties. All Rowan-Cabarrus Librarians have public service responsibilities regardless of their position within Library Services, including circulation, reference, instruction, and liaison responsibilities. Working collaboratively and independently in a team environment is essential in this role. Librarians also participate in college and professional activities, as appropriate.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Library Science accredited by the American Library Association (ALA.) One year of professional experience working in an archive. Two years of experience as a professional librarian. Demonstrated knowledge of archival standards, preservation principles and practices, and records management principles and practices.
Salary: $58,136.27
