Description: The Assistant Director of Operations will provide strategic and functional oversight of library public services at all library locations, foster collaborative relationships with other County departments, non-profits, and other organizations, and be committed to advancing the library’s mission in the community. The Assistant Director will serve as Acting Director in the absence of the Library Director. The position participates in planning and highlevel decision making, as well as leadership and mentoring to all library employees. This manager serves as the senior member of the library leadership team and works closely with the Library Director to manage the department's annual work plan and strategic plan. Alamance County Public Libraries functions as a department of Alamance County (N.C.)
Qualifications: Master's Degree with 4-6 years of increasingly responsible professional library experience in public libraries OR Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of increasingly responsible library experience in public libraries. 3 years in a branch management-level position with knowledge of budget preparation and management. 4 years of supervisory, management and leadership responsibilities.
Salary: $53,465 - $60,735
