Description: Reporting to the Dean of Library Services, this is a 12-month, non tenure-track position. The anticipated annual salary for this position is $95,000. The Associate Dean serves as a resource for library faculty and staff, in a working environment that highly values collegiality, collaboration, and creativity. The Associate Dean will provide coordination and leadership for two standing library committees, the Marketing Committee and the DEI Committee. The Associate Dean will play a key role in developing and executing the library’s long-range plans in support of the university’s strategic vision, with a particular focus on marketing and communications, and engagement with the campus and external community. Areas of responsibility will include strategic planning in assigned areas such as diversity, equity, and inclusion; communication programs, including marketing and public relations; external partnerships and outreach; and grant-seeking and fund-raising in coordination with the University's Division of Advancement and Office of Research Administration.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in library and information science from an ALA-accredited institution and 3+ years of progressive experience in academic libraries or large public library; minimum of five years of successful experience in organizational marketing, communications, and/or fund-raising; demonstrated familiarity with academic library operations; strong commitment to diversity.
