Description: The Associate Head, Access Services shares management responsibility for the department, supervising a portfolio that includes approximately 15 staff members. This position helps guide and coordinate operations and services for two main libraries. They play a key role in setting departmental goals and objectives; fostering an inclusive, collaborative, motivating, and creative work environment; and maintaining high customer service standards. They provide support and guidance to service managers and the student supervisory team in hiring, scheduling, and managing the performance of student staff. They analyze and act on library usage trends, design workflows, and help to maintain internal controls and documentation for systems such as SirsiDynix Symphony, Reserves Direct, and ILLiad. The position represents the department in the absence of the head in both internal and external venues.
Qualifications: ALA-accredited MLS, MIS, or equivalent advanced degree
Salary: $84,000+
