Description: As Associate University Librarian for Development (AUL) you will be creating and overseeing comprehensive efforts to identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with current and prospective individual and institutional donors, as well as developing strategies to help raise transformative gifts that will sustain and expand our organizational goals. Working with a high-performing team of development and communication professionals inside the Libraries and throughout Duke, you will ensure that the messaging and communication strategies for DUL represent our culture, goals and priorities. The AUL also serves as a member of the Libraries’ Executive Group where, in addition to building a culture of philanthropy to engage directors in the fundraising process, the AUL also participates in strategic planning and board development activities for the Libraries.
Qualifications: BA/BS. Minimum of seven years progressively responsible development experience in a higher education/research institution; ability to organize, establish objectives and priorities and achieve goals in an aggressive organizational environment; experience managing staff to achieve multiple strategic objectives; broad understanding and experience in multifaceted capital campaign.
Salary: $135,000+
