Description: The Associate University Librarian for Research and Public Services (RPS) provides leadership, vision, and strategic direction to advance research and instruction at Duke University Libraries (DUL). They guide, oversee, and coordinate the functions and departments responsible for providing library services in support of teaching, learning, and research and lead efforts to infuse the values of diversity equity, inclusion, and accessibility into the work of the Research and Public Services division. As a member of the Duke University Libraries’ Executive Group (EG), the AUL for RPS will help lead the development of a strategic vision for the Libraries as Duke enters its second century and embarks on a capital campaign. The AUL for Research and Public Services will be joining DUL at an exciting time of transition with a newly appointed Vice Provost for Library Affairs and several new Associate University Librarians.

Qualifications: Master's degree from an ALA accredited program or equivalent advanced degree.  At least five years of relevant experience related to the research lifecycle and/ or advancing teaching in higher education, including demonstrated experience in research services, user/access services and/or instruction in libraries, academia, or other settings.
