The SLNC Government and Heritage Library invites you to join us for a webinar featuring author Sally M. Walker, who will discuss Within Our Power: The Story of the Edenton Ladies' Tea Party. This illustrated children’s book tells the story of 51 women in Edenton, North Carolina, who took a political stand by signing a resolution to boycott British tea and goods in 1774. In this webinar, Walker will explore the historical context of the Edenton Tea Party, the lives and motivations of the women involved, and the lasting legacy of their actions. A live Q&A session will follow the talk, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with the author.
