Description: The AV Services Manager reports to the Department Head, Information Technology and leads the AV Technologies unit. Comprising 4 AV technology professionals, this unit designs, implements, and supports a wide variety of collaborative, instructional, and advanced AV technology across two main libraries. These spaces include numerous group studies, conference rooms, and instruction/presentation spaces in addition to the Visualization Studio, the Innovation Studio, the Teaching & visualization Lab, the Creativity Studio, the Game Lab, the iPearl Immersion Theater, and 4 large video walls. The AV Services Manager collaborates with functional stakeholders across the organization to identify technology needs within the Libraries and across campus and to envision, create, and support spaces that meet those needs.
Qualifications: Experience supporting audiovisual technology for faculty, staff, and students in a higher education environment. Relevant supervisory / management experience. Ability to collaborate with functional stakeholders to understand user needs and envision technology solutions that meet those needs. Ability to manage projects and work effectively as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate clearly, knowledgeably, and personably, orally and in writing. Demonstrated experience learning new technologies. Commitment to fostering a diverse educational and professional environment.
