The Branch Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations of a branch library, including scheduling and directing the work of branch staff. They are responsible for training and evaluating personnel. The supervisor oversees the development, implementation and evaluation of branch programming. They are responsible for preparing deposits and maintaining financial records of the branch; compiling monthly statistical reports; ensuring that library facility, grounds, and equipment are properly maintained; helps with annual planning and implementation of the Summer Learning Program; resolves patron problems, including issues related to disputed fines and damaged items; and handles concerns or complaints.

Qualifications:

Requires knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field. Master of Library Science degree preferred.

Management experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years’ experience or service.

Salary: $52,000/year-$54,600/year
