Description
The Library Branch Manager is responsible for efficiently and effectively operating a branch/section. The Branch Manager should provide excellent customer service and engage with colleagues and the community. This position supervises public service operations, including circulation, scheduling meeting/work spaces, and delivering library services and programs for children, teens, and adults. Positions are available to support the McGirt-Horton and Glenwood Library locations.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree with 4-6 years of experience managing a library facility, operations, and distribution of library materials.
“OR” Bachelor’s Degree with 8-10 years of experience managing a library facility, operations, and distribution of library materials.
Customer Service experience
Supervisory experience (direct and indirect reports)
Experience monitoring and analyzing budgets and branch performance metrics for improvement
Experience supporting Work Plan Goals and Objectives and preparing statistical reports
Experience maintaining library materials collections, overseeing circulation and promoting literacy initiatives
Experience using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
