Description: The Library Branch Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of a library branch/section. This position supervises the public service operations which includes circulation, scheduling meeting/work spaces and the delivery of library services and programs for children, teens and adults. This position is responsible for scheduling and evaluating staff, participating on the Library's Managers Team, leading and/or assisting in the approval, development, delivery and evaluation of branch/section-specific programs and serving on special committees or project teams as assigned by Library Administration. The person in this position should be detail-oriented, emotionally intelligent, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be knowledgeable about current library trends and practices, and work well independently and collaboratively. The Library Branch Manager should provide excellent customer service and engage with colleagues and the community.
Qualifications: Master's Degree with 4-6 years of experience managing (i.e. a library facility/operations, distribution of library materials or a closely related field Experience using Microsoft Office software (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Library and Information Studies (MLIS) Master’s Degree in a related field i.e. Education, Business, etc. Experience using library ILS (i.e. Horizon) and supervisory experience.
Salary: $50,020 - $65,816
