Description: The Library Branch Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of a library branch/section; supervises public service operations (circulation, scheduling meeting/work spaces and the delivery of library services and programs). Responsible for scheduling and evaluating staff, participating on the Library's Managers Team, leading and/or assisting in the approval, development, delivery and evaluation of branch/section-specific programs and serving on special committees or project teams as assigned. Provides excellent customer service, engages with colleagues and the community. This includes working the public service desk, answering reference/information questions, providing readers' advisory services and helping to resolve issues pertaining to customers' library accounts and the overall quality of customers’ library experiences. Assist and support the strategic assessment and response to the expressed and observed needs of the community. This position also helps monitor assigned branch/section budget. Coaching and development of staff and fostering teamwork is also a requirement of this position.
Qualifications: Master's Degree with 4-6 years of experience managing a library facility, operations and distribution of library materials Or Bachelor's degree in a related field such as (Education; History etc.) with 8-10 years of experience managing a library facility, operations and distribution of library materials Experience using Microsoft Office software.
Salary: $46,532.00 - $77,554.00
