Description: Performs administrative and supervisory work. Plans and directs the activities and programs of the Hampton B. Allen Library, and one bookmobile, located in Wadesboro, NC. Manages staff, acts as a representative of the library, and seeks library involvement throughout the county. Will serve as department head, responsible for budgeting, selection of materials, requisitioning funds, and evaluating personnel. A technology-driven, detail-oriented team player is needed for this position. Reports to the Library Director.
Qualifications: A MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited or State University institution. Prior public library and supervisory experience strongly preferred. Must qualify for certification by the North Carolina Public Librarian Certification Board.
Salary: $36,000-$42,000, 37.5 hours per week.
