Description: Performs professional and technical work to plan, organize, manage, and direct the operations, programs, services, and personnel of Harnett County's newest library branch slated to open in January 2024. Work includes developing and monitoring budget resources, planning and implementing overall library goals and objectives, and oversight of staff and services. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Harnett County Library Director and performance is evaluated on the basis of attainment of specific performance objectives, personal observation, feedback from users, stake holders and employees. The Benhaven Public Library is located in western Harnett County.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a four-year degree or graduate degree in Library Science or Library and Information Studies with a Master’s degree preferred Experience managing a library branch or related supervisory experience or equivalent education and/or experience Possession of a valid North Carolina driver's license.
