Description: This position is responsible for supervising Buncombe County Public Library's 11 library branch managers and serving as a key member of the Library's administrative team. The position also has leadership responsibilities for a number of different library system initiatives, projects, and programs. The ideal candidate will be an innovative, community-oriented professional with a passion for public service and the ability to lead, motivate, and inspire staff.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in library science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited school and five (5) years of related library experience, including at least two (2) years of management or supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary: $79,591.93 - $97,831.77
