Description: The State Library is seeking an enthusiastic team member to be part of the administrative section. The Budget Coordinator for the State Library of North Carolina is responsible for managing budgets in support of the State Library’s operational and programmatic goals. This position works with State Library personnel and DCR Budget Office staff to ensure proper use of state and federal funds and compliance with departmental and state budget, purchasing, and contractual requirements.
Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in accounting methods, procedures, and/or practices. Demonstrated experience in policies and procedures concerning purchasing, financial accounting, budgeting, and/or travel. Demonstrated knowledge of contracts and/or grants. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Management Preferences: Demonstrated experience with state aid to Libraries, as well as experience with state libraries. Demonstrated experience with Adobe Acrobat DC. Demonstrated excellent communication skills and ability to maintain effective working relationships with State Library and departmental staff.
