The East Albemarle Regional Library is now hiring for the position of the Camden County Librarian. The Camden County Librarian oversees daily operations of a brand-new, modern facility, which opened in June 2022. The County Librarian performs administrative and supervisory work, acts as a representative of the library and seeks library involvement throughout the community. The County Librarian serves as Department Head and is responsible for budgeting, materials selection and evaluating personnel.
Qualifications: Requires MLS from ALA-accredited institution. Prior public library and supervisory experience strongly preferred. Must qualify for North Carolina Public Librarian Certification. The ideal candidate must be community-oriented and able to work collaboratively with staff, community leaders and elected officials.
