Description: The Library Specialist position will perform original cataloging of materials in a variety of formats, ensuring highly accurate data entry and complex bibliographic description in both the library catalog, and in the international cooperative database, WorldCat. In-depth analysis and decision making will be routine part of the workflow, and this position will be required to work independently to solve complex problems. This position will independently catalog unique and non-standard items for library collections and those in the Curriculum Materials Center. A significant number of these materials will need original cataloging which requires a comprehensive knowledge of description standards and the ability to incorporate them into local practices, which include several specialized vocabularies and classification schemes.

Qualifications: Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Graduation from a four-year college or university and one year of experience in a library or archives and/or records management; or high school and five years experience in a library or archives and/or records management; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Salary: $45,600-$52,052
