Description: The Collection Development/Metadata Librarian reports to the Director of Library Services and performs tasks related to cataloging and providing access to library materials. They handle acquisitions, inventory, and deselection of items, as well as manage metadata description and cataloging. The Librarian serves as a liaison, participates in library projects, and possesses strong organizational and communication skills. Other duties include supervising student projects, supporting the maintenance of library collections, and producing Libguides. Key abilities include collaboration, attention to detail, problem-solving, and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications: To be considered for this position, applicants must have a graduate degree in Library and Information Science with a focus in metadata and/or descriptive cataloging from an ALA-accredited graduate school. They should also possess two years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Additionally, experience using OCLC WMS is preferred.

Salary: $47,000
