Description: Reporting to the Head of Scholarly Communication, the librarian in this position reports on, interprets, and visualizes data about library collections and their use in support of library strategic initiatives, including shared print preservation programs; diversifying library collections; the impact of textbook affordability and open access programs; and demand-driven, evidence-based, and/or other dynamic collections models. This librarian will also fulfill collection development, liaison, and outreach duties in order to enhance student learning, faculty research excellence, and scholarly communication practices in the assigned subject areas. The Collection Strategist and Assessment librarian participates in professional development and appropriate service on library, university, and professional committees. This is a 12 month, fixed-term permanent position.

Qualifications: Graduate degree in library or information science from an ALA-accredited institution or international equivalent. Demonstrated competence with data manipulation and quantitative analysis techniques. Demonstrated understanding of trends in library collection management. Knowledge of scholarly communication trends.
