Description: Pender County Library is seeking an innovative professional dedicated to building relationships with and developing library services for underserved communities throughout Pender County. The Community Engagement and Outreach Manager will be based at the Main Library in Burgaw but will serve communities throughout the county and will occasionally work at the Hampstead Branch Library. This position will collaborate with staff at both locations to plan and coordinate off-site programs and services. This position will supervise Early Literacy Outreach program staff and will work under the supervision of the Library Director.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree is required. Significant experience in community engagement, relationship building, and/or government relations. Experience in and commitment to serving diverse populations and traditionally underserved populations. Experience in program planning and presentations. Experience with libraries helpful but not mandatory. Familiarity with grant writing and proficiency in Spanish are preferred.
Salary: $47,963.54
