Description: Oversee public service operations for the entire library system. The ideal candidate will possess superior leadership and interpersonal communication skills to successfully organize and direct library staff in providing exemplary library services to the public. He or she will coordinate the provision of public service with library facility managers and the leadership team; supervise facility managers; work closely with the Director to implement strategic plans, policies and procedures; work closely with the HR Analyst to ensure that system personnel and training needs are met; work with Assistant Director of Operations, Finance and Outreach to ensure that system facilities needs are met; work with Assistant Director to meet long-range budget needs; and work with the Library Board of Trustees and the Board of County Commissioners in the Director’s absence. Evening and weekend work required.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Library Science from an accredited program with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a supervisory or administrative position in a public library.
Salary: $76,735 - $138,124
