Digital Initiatives Librarian - Charles W. Chesnutt Library, Fayetteville State University

Description: The librarian will lead the development and activities of the library’s institutional repository and digital initiatives, including planning for and administering tools, creating metadata, managing digitalized collections, developing and conducting outreach initiatives. The librarian will support scholarship at all levels by connecting students and faculty with methodology and best practices. The librarian will also collaborate with all library departments to support digital initiatives that enhance our instruction program, student and faculty research through training, workshops, and integration of digital pedagogy methods. The librarian will take an active role in promoting information and digital literacy by planning instructional sessions with university entities.

Qualifications: MLS degree from an ALA-accredited library and information science program; or equivalent. One year experience with metadata for digital objects in an academic library environment.
