Description: The Digital Navigator Librarian provides individualized or small group assistance to all community members who need affordable home internet service, internet-capable devices, and/or coaching in introductory digital skills to become effective internet users. They develop programs, classes, and services that advance digital literacy skills. To further digital inclusion throughout the county, they will work with community partners and library outreach to identify community members who would most benefit from their assistance. They also serve as part of the Management Team. The Digital Navigator also manages the digital technology of the library including, but not limited to, Wi-Fi Hotspots and equipment for checkout and instruction. The Digital Navigator’s work is a critical part of the Franklin County Library System’s efforts to meet the county goal of bridging the digital divide. Work is performed independently under the supervision of the Library Director. 

Qualifications: Master’s degree in library science from an accredited ALA school and moderate experience with digital literacy and programming are required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Spanish language skills are preferred. 

Salary: $52,542 - $55,169
