Description:
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and guidance in the management of the library system.
This position formulates long-range goals for the organization, develop policy and supervises departmental professional, technical and clerical staff. The work is performed under the direction of a Assistant County Manager.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited library school.
- Eight (8) years of professional library or related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience is required.
- NC Public Librarian Certification
Salary: $126,900/year - $175,000/year
